Research

Yale Urology is a highly collaborative environment that allows physicians and scientists to develop novel ideas for advancing the urologic field. Our department has a long track record of high-quality research and has received funding from organizations such as the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense. Yale physicians and researchers disseminate their findings at various national and international meetings/conferences. They also are active members of the American Urologic Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Society of Urodynamics and Female Urology, Society of Basic Urologic Research, American Association of Cancer Research, Society for Pediatric Urology, American Association of Genitourinary Surgeons, Clinical Society of Genitourinary Surgeons, American Surgical Association, Experimental Biology, American Physiological Society, and New England Section of the American Urologic Association.

Yale Urology is at the forefront of conducting clinical trials for a variety of urologic disorders including bladder cancer, prostate cancer, kidney cancer, kidney and urinary tract disorders, women’s health, and men’s health. The outcome of these trials has allowed us to improve patient care, resulting in many success stories.
